Where is Playa Tambor and how I get there?
Located on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, Tambor can be easily reached from the airport in either Libera or San Jose.
From San Jose or Liberia:
By Car:
Drive to the Puntarenas Ferry and take the Paquera ferry (8 sailings a day). From Paquera follow the signs to Tambor.
By Bus:
Buses run regularly and often between Paquera and Cobano, Montezuma, and Mal Pais. Tambor is on the route to all of them.
By Air:
Fly from San Jose. There are four, 25 minute flights a day.
